| The photograph depicts a pre-Columbian terracotta articulated doll belonging to the Teotihuacan culture (Mexico). On the back of the image is a reference to the gallery of Henri and Helene Kamer, both art dealers and among the most influential collectors of African and non-European art in the mid-twentieth century. | The photograph forms part of the iconographic apparatus of the volume National Museum of Anthropology of Mexico City (Mondadori, 1979), published in the series Museums of the World. The texts of the volume were written by Carlo Ludovico Ragghianti and Licia Collobi.
