The photograph forms part of the iconographic apparatus of the volume National Museum of Anthropology of Mexico City (Mondadori, 1979), published in the series Museums of the World. The texts of the volume were written by Carlo Ludovico Ragghianti and Licia Collobi. The sculpture is reproduced in the catalogue with the following caption (pp. 24–25): Vessel in the shape of a contortionist or acrobat. ca. 1000–500 BCE.
