Arnaldo Pomodoro Archive

The Arnaldo Pomodoro Archive preserves a wide range of materials collected by the artist and his Studio throughout the years of his activity, including photographs, books, exhibition catalogues, correspondence, working papers, magazines, artists’ films, posters, awards, tickets, and postcards. These materials document not only Pomodoro’s artistic production and his personal and professional relationships with individuals and institutions, but also constitute a valuable source of information on various aspects of the artistic and cultural history of the second half of the twentieth century.

The artist’s archive is housed within the premises of the Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro, located at Via Vigevano 3, Milan. It is organized into six sections—Library, Audiovisual Materials, Correspondence, Photographs, Working Papers, and Miscellaneous Materials—all of which are accessible to students, researchers, and professionals in the field.

The entire archival collection is currently undergoing cataloguing and digitization through the Foundation’s Online Archive project (Archivio online), an open-access database developed and curated by the Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro to promote and enhance research on the sculptor’s artistic practice.
