Mask

Female anthropomorphic mask from the Punu (?) people of Gabon, characterized by its white-painted face. Triangular and slightly asymmetrical in shape, it features a high coiffure with a central double crest and a middle parting, flanked by small lateral braids. The eyes are slit-shaped, the eyebrows strongly arched, and the lips full and softly modeled. The work is part of the Bassani Collection (inv. AFR 00059 2513A).
