Mask

Mask of the Dogon people of Mali, dating to the 20th century. The mask is zoomorphic and rectangular in form, representing a hare; it features large eye sockets with pierced eyes inserted within them. At the top, between the ears, an iron element is inserted. The work is part of the Bassani Collection and is housed at MUDEC – Museum of Cultures, Milan (inv. AFR 00017 2513A).
