Descrizione
Zoomorphic mask depicting a monkey, attributed to the Bamana people of Mali and dating to the 20th century. The mask features a concave muzzle, with the curved lines of the profile and nose converging toward the open mouth. The mouth and eyes are rectangular and perforated, while the ears are elliptical in shape. The work belongs to the Bassani Collection and is housed at MUDEC – Museo delle Culture di Milano (inv. AFR 00003 2513A).
