Statue

Statue depicting a male figure of the Hemba people of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, dating to the 20th century. The figure features a raised beard framing the face and an elongated hairstyle extending along the back of the head. The work belongs to the Franco and Laura Monti Collection and is housed at MUDEC – Museo delle Culture di Milano (inv. 00031).
