Pillar

Carved pillar in the round from Cameroon, dating to the 20th century. The work depicts two superimposed human figures: the male figure, with his hands joined on his chest, stands with his feet resting on the head of the female figure, who is shown covering her breasts with her hands. The work belongs to the Laura and Franco Monti Collection and is housed at  MUDEC – Museo delle Culture di Milano (inv. 00028).
