Mask

Helmet mask depicting a female figure with an elaborate hairstyle composed of double spirals in relief. Traces of kaolin remain visible on the face, creating a contrast with the darker tones of the eyebrows and scarification marks. Nigeria, Igbo people, 20th century. Originally part of the Laura Franco Monti Collection, the work is now housed at the MUDEC in Milan (inv. 00022).
