Biografia
An internationally renowned Africanist scholar, Ezio Bassani has been the author of influential contributions to the field since the 1970s. He has curated and contributed to the realization of numerous exhibitions, including La grande scultura dell’Africa Nera (Forte Belvedere, Florence, 1989), Africa. Capolavori da un continente (GAM – Galleria Civica d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea, Turin, 2003), and “Primitivism” in 20th Century Art: Affinity of the Tribal and the Modern (Museum of Modern Art, New York, 1985).
