Carlo Ludovico Ragghianti Fonds

The Ragghianti Photographic Archive preserves approximately 160,000 images, including photographs and press clippings, relating to the wide range of research interests of the Ragghianti couple: ancient, modern and contemporary art; architecture; design, etc. The images were collected by Ragghianti from the mid-1930s until the critic’s death in 1987. The fonds is composed mostly of photographic and photomechanical prints, along with a smaller number of glass plate negatives, slides, and film negatives.

Some sections of the Photographic Archive (contemporary art; medieval art; Renaissance and modern art; manuscript illumination) have been fully or partially digitised and can be searched online through the Photographic Catalogue database.
