Pettorale antropomorfo

The photograph depicts a gold breastplate ornament with anthropomorphic features. The description stuck to the back of the photo reads: 'Anthropomorphic breastplate cold-worked using a process similar to the technique known as ‘powder metallurgy’, but made with precipitated gold. Through some cracks, it is possible to see the black gold that formed the initial crust of the work with its respective agglutination. The surface has a reddish colour and evident traces of gilding. Of the six zoomorphic figures that complete the total setting of the piece, the central right one is detached but has been repaired'. The object was found at the Paletéra site, Coconuco County, Cauca State.
