Biografia

Romano Cagnoni became interested in photography at a young age, attending sculpture workshops in his hometown of Pietrasanta. In 1958 he moved to London, where he lived for 30 years, working as a freelance photographer and contributing to numerous European magazines. He collaborated with Simon Guttmann, Robert Capa, Felix Mann, Kurt Hutton, and Henri Cartier-Bresson. He was the first independent Western photographer to be granted access to North Vietnam, alongside British journalist James Cameron. His work took him across Cambodia, Biafra, Israel, Northern Ireland, Afghanistan, Yugoslavia, Chechnya, Kosovo, and many other regions of conflict.
