Descrizione
Tall-necked vase in gold with agate stippling decoration and a white satin-relief salamander, designed by Giovanni Gariboldi [inv. 3554]. Richard-Ginori Ceramic Society, 1937. In this case, as with other similar pieces, the reference to non-Western culture is evident in the form, which is clearly inspired by typical East Asian shapes. The vase was created for the 1937 International Exposition “Arts et Techniques dans la Vie moderne” in Paris.
