Descrizione
Vase with four relief butterflies on the neck; porcelain with lustre and gilded details (the striations on the wings are traced with an agate point) [inv. 3593]. Richard-Ginori manufactory. The vase can be attributed to the period under the direction of Giovanni Gariboldi, but the specific shape appears to be the work of the decorator Elena Diana. The vase’s pear-shaped body with an elongated neck evokes East Asian prototypes.
