Descrizione
Hand-painted porcelain paperweight in black, grey, purple, and gold [inv. 2770]. Richard-Ginori manufactory, 1924 (form and decoration). As noted by critics, the term “dolphins”, taken from a letter by Gio Ponti to Tazzini, is actually inaccurate for referring to the two intertwined-tailed fish featured on this object. The color scheme helps give the paperweight an “Oriental” character.
