Descrizione
Bolo in porcelain, chromo-decorated in green and gold and hand-painted in green and gold [inv. 5352]. Richard-Ginori Ceramic Company, 1926 (decoration). The Labirintesca decoration was created in 1926 and applied to a wide variety of objects. With regard to its relationship to non-Western arts and cultures, this object is interesting from two perspectives. While the Labirintesca motif is described by Ponti as “classical-Oriental,” the form of the bolo itself may also carry Oriental reminiscences.
