Hexagonal soft-paste porcelain ashtray with celadon glaze [inv. 3251]. Richard-Ginori Ceramic Society, 1930 (decoration and form). An incised decoration depicting a fish is present at the center. In this case, the reference to non-Western cultures does not concern the form or decoration, but rather the material of the object. The ashtray is part of a series of works made in porcelain and coated with celadon glaze, clearly inspired by Chinese tradition.
