FAF Toscana – Fondazione Alinari per la Fotografia is an institution established by the Tuscany Region in 2020 and based in Florence, following the public acquisition of the Alinari archive in 2019. The collection comprises over five million images, negatives, albums, and materials dating from the 19th to the 20th century.
The Foundation, responsible for the conservation, protection, and management of this photographic heritage, carries out cataloguing, restoration, and digitisation activities, and promotes public access through cultural projects and digital tools made available to users.
