Descrizione

Dimitri Prigov, Senza titolo, 1989-1990, bronzo, legno, stoffa, giornali, colori, Collezione Gori - Fattoria di Celle, Santomato (PT)

Permanent installation created for one of the rooms in the Fattoria di Celle. The work consists of six gray drapes – reminiscent of the curtains used in Orthodox rituals – behind which are placed five bronze-cast sculptures on shelves and five wooden panels to which pages from the «Pravda» newspaper are attached, bearing the names of Nietzsche's five stages of man (beast, infant, man, hero, sage). The bronze 'icons', half-man and half-rooster, shed a red tear and hold a polished bronze egg between their claws. Additional pages from «Pravda» are affixed to the wall opposite the one hosting the drapes and niches, and partially on the floor.
