Textile (Paracras necropolis)

Textile displayed at the Perù Precolombiano exhibition, held at the Istituto Italo-Latino Americano in Rome between 1975 and 1976. Object caption in the catalog: "307. Pilgrim’s cloak made of red llama wool. The outer edges and those around the neckline are hand-embroidered in polychrome. The design depicts a bird with open wings and an anthropomorphic head crowned with three appendages, each ending in a head. Loose fringes. Width 61 cm – Length 61.5 cm (including fringe).
