Descrizione

Bukichi Inoue, My Sky Hole, 1985-89, wood, stone, concrete, glass, water, stainless steel, marble, Collezione Gori - Fattoria di Celle, Santomato (Pistoia)

Permanent installation created for the park of the Fattoria di Celle. The work consists of a small, square plaza covered with river gravel and surrounded by a stone gutter. At the center of this space, two 11-meter-high wooden columns 'invite' the visitor to walk through an open-air corridor flanked by two tall stone walls. Midway through the corridor, a small jet of water springs from the floor near two side niches equipped with marble seating. At the end of the corridor, a glass gate allows access to a narrow, winding, and dimly lit tunnel that leads to a spiral staircase. This staircase, in turn, leads to the top of the hill, where a large glass cube marks the final exit from the installation.
