Storia e descrizione
The Italian Institute for the Middle and Far East was an Italian public institution. Founded in 1933 by Giovanni Gentile and Giuseppe Tucci with the aim of promoting cultural, political, and economic relations between Italy and Asian countries, in 1995 it merged with the Italo-African Institute of Rome, giving birth to the Italian Institute for Africa and the East - ISIAO, which in turn was placed into liquidation in 2012.
