Valle Chicama

The Chicama Valley is a vast area located in the La Libertad region of northern Peru. The lands of this valley are largely irrigated by the Chicama River. For this reason, rural and urban cities have sprung up there since pre-Columbian times, with the important Puerto Chicama as a commercial hub. In ancient times, the Moche culture developed widely in this area.
